Growing like a weed…

We had Olivia’s two month checkup this past week. We found out that the clothes weren’t just shrinking in the dryer, she out grew them already!! It seems like this girl is always eating, she doesn’t go much longer than a three hour stretch and eats 5 ounces every time! Granted, there is a four hour stretch in the afternoon that she doesn’t eat, and then she does sleep from 8pm until about 8am sometimes 9am without eating.. Still though it feels like a lot at times. We also have had issues with her spitting up a lot. Yes to all of you who aren’t parents, this topic is very disgusting. However for parents it is a fact that all little ones will have this, some more than others. Olivia was one that had this more than the others. She was showing signs of acid reflux so we switched formulas and what not, and she was still breastfeeding half the time, everything seemed a little better for a couple days and then things would go back to the normal, drenching a burp cloth every time. So after talking the pediatrician, we have switched to soy formula and stopped breastfeeding completely. So far everything is great! It seems like this was the right switch, we have used almost a whole can and there has been a huge improvement! So yay for Soy!

At her visit she also had 3 shots and one oral medicine. The funny thing about the oral medicine, most babies don’t like it because of how cold and sweet it is. Olivia, on the other hand sat there and enjoyed it. The sad part was, it was like we teased her because right after that they poked her little legs three times!
